Pussy. Say that word really loud in a public place and see what happens. Expect a few heads to turn. I've done it before, just to see the reaction of people! I have a friend who does it all the time! LOL She's considered by many to be a little out there though, but the more I think about her doing it, the more I think, she's doing something very special!
My friend and I are not the norm, however. For most, "pussy" is rarely intoned by anyone in public including sexologists and gynecologists. "Penis," "dick," "cock," and even "shaft" are tossed off with great glee on a regular basis. But "pussy" has been relegated to the shadows. We all know it's there, but few dare to speak its name. Pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy! Shhhh... quiet now!
Part of this just has to do with the word itself. "Pussy" for many people, just doesn't roll off the tongue quite as deliciously as "cock." It doesn't have a clinical sound like Vagina does bringing to mind anatomy textbook drawings, douches, sanitary napkins, and the necessary yet not fun annual pap smear.
I much prefer the word "Pussy." It has punch, roll, and oomph. There are many who would disagree with me as they find "pussy" highly offensive. But, of course, a word is only as powerful as its intent. To those who frown at, say the word "cunt," I suggest spending a year in London, like I did in undergraduate school, where it is used as an expletive for almost everything... a fact I found amusing and slightly complimentary! I believe it is about time that a word for our female special naughty bits have regular traction, and like the drinking of tea and the watching and listening to BBC news, should be one of the bits of British culture that we everywhere could borrow and just add on... PUSSY!
Until that occurs, however, I will just have to accept that saying "pussy" in public, is going to get me in some degree of trouble. Saying PUSSY is going to get me looked at like I'm mental! So I am, as of now, claiming "PUSSY" with pride!!! :)
For it is not just the sound of the word that causes all this tight-lipped business. Because the pussy is a hidden thing with all its marvelous parts concealed from the naked eye, some believe that it should be spoken of only in private. And then there are those -- and there have been many of them... who think the pussy is inferior, yucky, manipulative, a dangerous cavern that threatens the mighty, mistakenly proud prick, cock, and or dong! This I must say, is a myth! LOL
Richard Hancock, an international performance artist, once took over a room in an old strip club. In that room, Richard invited people to lay on a table where he would proceed to paint their genitals gold. It was overwhelmingly women who participated in this act of art, NOT men and while he was painting the girls pussies, many of them wept. No one had ever treated their pussies with such concentrated, tender respect before, many of the women said, and they discovered how much they desired that attention for their pussy!!
So girls, I say let's give ourselves and our male friends, fuck buddies and partners a little genital adoration time. It is time for "Pussy" to have its life in the sun! Pussy is Awesome, but no matter how great it is, Pussy still needs some cock in it at times - It's No Thong Thursday!!
